TeraMed Welcomes Professor Francesco Corvaro to Its High-Level Advisory Committee
The TeraMed Initiative is pleased to announce that Professor Francesco Corvaro has joined its High-Level Advisory Committee.
Professor Corvaro currently serves as Special Envoy for Climate Change of the Italian Government, a position he has held since 2022. In this role, he represents Italy in high-level international climate processes, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), as well as G7 and G20 working groups, contributing to multilateral dialogue and international climate cooperation. His mandate places particular emphasis on the Mediterranean region and the European Union.
In parallel with his institutional role, Professor Corvaro is a Professor at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, with an academic background in energy systems and environmental engineering. His work bridges scientific research, public policy, and international diplomacy, supporting science-based, inclusive approaches to climate action, resilience, and sustainable development.
Professor Corvaro joins a High-Level Advisory Committee that brings together distinguished leaders with extensive experience in climate governance, environmental policy, and international cooperation. Members include:
Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Former Minister of Environment of Egypt
Mr. Ovais Sarmad, Former Deputy Executive Secretary and Assistant Secretary-General of the UNFCCC
The Advisory Committee supports TeraMed’s mission to advance renewable energy cooperation, and foster inclusive development across the Mediterranean, by providing strategic guidance and reinforcing dialogue between governments, academia, international organizations, and civil society.
